DRAWING FACES & FIGURES
AT THE LGBTQ CENTER, 1301 N. PALM CANYON DRIVE, PALM SPRINGS
IMPROVE YOUR UNIQUE DRAWING ABILITY, CONFIDENCE, AND FREEDOM
How It Works —
The class is not so much about "how TO draw" as it is about "how YOU draw" because we all draw differently - the way we all have individual and unqiue ways of doing many things: writing, speaking, cooking, or dancing!
Who It's For —
Open to adults 18+ who're interest in exploring how to portray the human face and figure with simple drawing materials (included -- or bring your own if you prefer).
What's The Cost?
Per class is $25, or if you are a Center Member it's only $20!
MORE ABOUT THE CLASS
COURSE DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOS BELOW
This class will be a gently guided opportunity to engage in the rewarding pleasure of drawing as a simple process. No prior art training or previous experience is required. We will be using everyday pencils, erasers, and basic paper -- all of which will be supplied. Our focus will be on diverse human faces and LGBTQ+ figures from photographs, visual images & live models. You are welcome to bring your own source images as well as your own drawing materials if desired. About the Facilitator Brian Lee Boyce believes every drawing is a good drawing -- and a worthwhile pursuit regardless of your skill level. Brian is a lifelong artist and an art gallery director in Palm Desert. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City where he studied drawing, painting, and graphic design.
